Epitaph let another awesome Burning Heart band slip through their grasp (we will never forgive you for giving up on Turbonegro) and Fat Wreck Chords is now a little bit cooler for it. Randy is a legit curbstomping, gritty punk rawk band.

Hailing from the other side of the world where awesome garage bands are grown not formed, Randy spews corny lyrics over some crazy rock licks reminiscent of a peppier Rancid. A lot of these songs are bubble gum tracks in the vein of the Hi-Fives and The Queers, but with just enough spitfire to keep the tunes rockin’,

“Nothing On Me” is a balls to the wall shredder that would make Electric Frankenstein fans quite happy. “Red Banner Rockers” is a call to arms that begs for a reverberating chorus from a live audience. The singer borrows liberally from Joe Strummer, but the songs never seem contrived or generic. This is pure rock ‘n’ roll for fans of rock ‘n’ roll. A change of pace from the processed crap being repackaged as punk on MTV.
