Lovehatehero went to the Geoff Rickley school of Emo Rock. This sounds so much like Thursday it’s not even funny. “This Dream Called Life,” “Second Chance,” and “These Fists are Grenades” are all passable emo/screamo myspace songs for 16 year olds.

There’s thousands of bands that sound like this in the United States. Lovehatehero do little to stand out from the pack, but I’m sure if they’re pretty enough they’ll have a major label contract in their hands in a matter of months.

The girl singer on “Theatre of Robots” is a step in the right direction. Juliet Simms co-wrote the song and it’s pretty solid. Similar to the guy/girl duets on all of those From Autumn to Ashes discs you don’t listen to anymore.
