I am going to have to agree with the other people on this page. It is fine if you do not care for the cd. But please, PLEASE do your homework before attempting to make comparisons. Unless you enjoy sounding like an ignorant jackass, that is.

"The singer also tries way too hard to sound like Orgy’s frontman, which doesn’t really say much for the band creatively."

If you knew ANYTHING about Deadsy one thing you would know is that Orgy's frontman Jay Gordon used to play bass for Deadsy before he formed Orgy. And "the singer" Elijah Blue had the same vocal styling then, before there was an Orgy. You can look that up, obviously something you didnt do was research when you put out this review.

"Salvation is found in their cover of The Stone’s “Paint It Black,” but only a fingerless guitar player could botch that up. Too bad the song cries, “Ooooh, look at us. We’re goth."

Let me hear a version of "paint it black" that youve personally recorded. Granted its an easy song to play but I'd love to hear your offering of it as you are so easy to dissmiss the songs originality. The song follows the albums direction, dark rock not goth.

Gothic? Because he has a low voice and they wear makeup?

Geez dude I am suprised about how little you seem to know about music. I guess it is on your own website and I guess noone is paying you to do reviews so I guess it doesnt matter.

Oh and if you ever wanna debate music email me, I'd love the oppurtunity.

I've been a fan of Deadsy since Commencement hit stores, and as far as im concerned, most bands go through transitions with their music. Deadsy is a band whos influences also undergo transitions.
Deadsy is undercore, not goth wannabe's. Also, Elijah's voice is nothing in comparison to Jay Gordon's, Elijah's is significantly deeper and both Orgy and Deadsy are influenced by simmilar artists.
If your thinking about annalysing any record, your negative review should be done for Punk Statik Paranoia. I like both Orgy and Deadsy, but do us all a favor; listen to the album a few times before dismissing it.
The fans of Deadsy have waited a while for this cd, and although it's slightly simmilar to Commencement, we love it. And i think thats all that should matter to Deadsy. They've attracted more fans with this album, but even the new fans love the old stuff.

i'd just like to note that it's a common misconception that exeter(deadsy) tries to sound like jay gordon(orgy). when, in fact, it is entirely the other way around. jay gordon used to be in deadsy. when he formed orgy, approx. 3 years after deadsy formed, he stole deadsy's style of music, as well as exeter's vocal style and attempted to pass them off as his own. now don't get me wrong, i love both bands. i just think this needed to be known.
