WANTED: The Bungalo Is Looking For A Few Good Writers

Life In A Bungalo is on the hunt for a few more writers. We’re looking for motivated people who love searching for new garage rock and psychobilly bands, or discovering cool urban/lowbrow artists. I’m talking interviews, podcasts, record reviews, and show reviews—we’re looking for anything to make this Web zine better.

Here’s the catch—You will make zero money. Life In A Bungalo makes about $100 a year, or just under the $114 it costs for server fees each year. What we can offer is access to our 3,000+ CD database as well free passes to shows and easy access to bands for interviews. We’ve been doing this for 12 years and have access to a lot of cool labels and artists.

To make life easy for you, here’s a list of what we cover:

Music: garage rock (new and old), psychobilly, high octane rock, punk, hardcore, cow punk, street rock, and some hip-hop. We cover mostly independent music, and work hard to promote young bands and labels. Though if they suck, we say they suck.
Art: graffiti, lowbrow, pop surrealism, urban vinyl, stencil work, and outsider art.

If you are interested, send a few writing samples and a list of your top five bands or artists to george@lifeinabungalo.com
