On That Note: H2O Touring, The Jam, NFG on Epitaph, Joe Ledbetter

To avoid simply reposting press releases, here’s a list of underground rumblings:

New Found Glory, the band that should have been a run-of-the-mill Fat Wreck Chord’s band but somehow made it big,  signed to Epitaph Records. Not a huge surprise, since the band sounds like they should have been big in 1994, not 2004. Look for a new record produced by Mark Hoppus in 2009.

The Jam (or some version of) are releasing a new DVD and going on tour across the United States. Look for them at the Stone Pony on Sept. 25. Some dude named Russell Hastings is singing for them. No, he is not the Filipino version of Steve Perry.

Joe Ledbetter has a new hoodie out via Tim Biskup’s Gamma Go. I don’t usually care for overpriced clothing, but the deathbot on this bad boy is pretty sick.

H2O is doing a proper US tour with (get this) Bane. Yes, Bane is still around. How freaking crazy is that. Sure, I would have preferred Murphy’s Law or Madball, but this is pretty crazy. It’s like finding out that they are playing with Chain of Strength or something.
