A
Life Once Lost “Hunter”
Ferret
Music
This
band does not sound like Meshuggah. I repeat this band sounds nothing
like Meshuggah. This is my first
experience
with A Life Once
Lost. Despite everyone being on this band’s dick, this isn’t
groundbreaking math Metal. “Hunter” rocks and is very,
very brutal, but it’s really nothing out of the ordinary.
“Rehashed” sets
the tone of the disc with screamy/growled vocal and tight technical
guitar work with crushing grooves. Uncompromising
brutality, not unlike their cohorts Lamb of God. Vocalist Robert Meadows
screams over and over again in “Vulture,"“I Will
Hunt you until the day you die!” One part Deadguy another part
Dillenger Escape Plan is the basic ingredients.
Ferret
is a slightly bigger label than the band’s previous effort
on Deathwish Inc. was. I’m sure with all of the Summer festivals
out there this band will get huge with the metal crowd. Sounds of the
Underground dude!
If
you like heavy music pick this up, if you’re
on the fence skip it.
