Two Tales
“S/T Debut 2004”
Riding Mower Records

Two Tales are a local Jersey rock band from the Red Bank, NJ area. Two Tales have a Quiet and very ethereal indie rock sound not unlike Coldplay, Iron and Wine, or Pedro the Lion. This five-song demo is a fantastic debut. Bassist Mike Bellina and guitarist Matt Pugliese compliment each other’s styles very nicely. “Black to Blue” is the EP’s best track. The song deals with hope and change. There’s an awesome interlude in the middle of the track that brings to mind early U2.

“Wearin’ Me Down” is a beautiful slow ballad. If Radiohead still made good music they might sound like this. Matt’s voice is very easy on the ears.

Two Tales have a bright future. These three musicians really know what they’re doing and know how to create a catchy pop song. Plus I hear the cover Jane’s Addiction live, so they get extra points from me for that. Check them out at www.twotalesband.com or www.myspace.com/twotales.
