Le Butterface
"Seminal"
What Would Gene Do?

Le Butterface have leveled the punk rock playing field, pistol whipping pussies left and right with their three chord assault of pure rock 'n' roll. Described by many as a cross between Boris The Sprinkler and early Queers, the band blast through 10 bombastic tracks in less than 24 minutes.

Vocalist Buck Fiddy comes off like Elvis Costello on crank with his sultry yet vivacious singing. "Third one on a match/ Eighty millionth on a snatch/ Bullets and VD you'll catch/ And then my friend you die," Fiddy croons to all the young ladies. Gentlemen, lock up your women. This man oozes sex.

"Hell Bar" is an ode to the second worst bar in New Jersey, The Loop Lounge, punctuated by Matt and Sal's solid rhythm section. "Fray Blucher" name drops everyone's favorite crack pipe wielding comedian Richard Pryor as well as his "See No Evil" costar Gene Wilder. By far the record's best track is "Jumbone" a testament to the greatest tool in the world, the giant cock. "I wanna fill your canyon with my yogurt canyon." Deuce Springsteen's phenomenal solo mid-way through the tune might even make Eddie Van Halen break a sweat.

Who would have thought that the record of the year would have made its way to my mailbox in early July? With "Seminal," Le Butterface have grabbed the punk rock torch that has dimmed all these years and they've turned into a giant flaming bag of shit that will never, ever be stomped out on your daddy's front porch.
