Teenage Bottlerocket
"Total"
Red Scare

I was a big fan of the Ramones-worship bands of the 1990s - Screeching Weasel, the Queers, Head, the Mr. T. Experience – and some of the bands those guys begat: the Lillingtons, Teen Idols, the Manges. Teenage Bottlerocket is the first new band I’ve heard doing this stuff these days. Featuring the singer of the Lillingtons on guitar and vocals on some of the tracks, and some other guy who sounds like Dan Vapid, you won’t be disappointed. The guitars are a solid wall of sound and the hooks are everywhere. Some of the lyrics are a little silly (“If you’re cold, I’ll let you wear my Ramones sweatshirt”) but for the most part this is just plain fun pop punk.
