Interview: Todd Morse of H2O
Music: Brine + Bastards, H2O, Young Werewolves, Iron Maiden

Show Notes:
This week we talk about whether melodic hardcore really is hardcore, we interview Todd Morse of H2O about his new record "Nothing to Prove," GTA IV is discussed to death, and we prattle on about seeing Iron Maiden in Jersey.

Please send all questions and comments to: george@lifeinabungalo.com

Songs played:
Brine + Bastards: Song of the Siren
H2O: Nothing to Prove
H2O: FTTW
Young Werewolves: Hollywood
Iron Maiden: Aces High

Edit Note: We say we are going to play the EF version of Aces High, but we couldn't find it. So the Maiden version should do. The transcribed version of the H2O interview should be up soon. Also, we really love hardcore and Agnostic Front. Please don't come after us.</itunes:summary>

With his striking mustachioed looks and a sound that can make just about anyone break into a circle dance, Eugene Hutz has taken his troupe of gypsy punks from obscurity to stardom. The band: Gogol Bordello. The sound: Like nothing you've ever heard before. They straddle the line between Th' Legendary Shackshakers and traditional gypsy flamenco, blending accordians, strings, and distorted guitars with tales of hope, defeat, and triumph.

This year, Gogol Bordello have released their best record to date, and hands down the record of the year at Life In A Bungalo. We gave frontman Eugene Hutz a call before his upcoming New Year's Eve show at New York's Terminal 5 to learn more about the band's rise to stardom, and what it's like being a punk in the Ukraine. Last year, Life In A Bungalo spent most of CMJ hunting for punk and street rock bands—and failing miserably. This year there is no searching. <itunes:summary>From the moment Lookout! Records released the self-titled Donnas record in 1997, punk rockers the world over were smitten with this quartet of rock #38; roll hotties. Luckily, the band had the chops to back up their pixie-like demeanor. These gals play rock as if it was forged into the Earth by a female god rather than Gene Simmons, and they shred harder than any of the punk rock boy band gracing the cover of Rolling Stone. The best part, they could probably kick my ass. Or at least shred it. Life In A Bungalo Digest chatted with drummer Torry Castellano about their new record, new label, and being forced to do dumb things at photo shoots. Love Cinema Vol. 6/Animal Blood/Scareho
Irish American VFW

Designed in cooperation with the Strummer estate, the guitar has a highly distressed “road-worn” treatment that duplicates the [...]
