It’s sad to say, but the number of living legends from the early part of  punk history is dwindling rather quickly. With the death of three quarters of The Ramones, Joe Strummer, Arthur “Killer” Kane, and (most recently) Lux Interior, the need to see bands that are still alive (and killing it on stage) is a must.

Luckily, the dark princes of punk, The Damned, are still vivacious as ever, churning out new records and putting enough emotion in their concerts to show up even the rowdiest new band.

The Damned made good on their cancelled December dates, returning with two pure rock acts in tow—Jersey street rockers Electric Frankenstein and R&B rave up act The BellRays. Read the rest of this entry »

Just got this unfortunate bit of news from The Damned’s press person. Looks like New Year’s Eve is going to be a little gloomier without The Damned around. Of course, now you are freed up to either see the Dickies at the Bowery Ballroom or The Tombstone Brawlers at Otto’s Shrunken Head.

Due to severe illness, The Damned will not be able to complete the North American dates of their
world tour.

Since October, The Damned have been on tour throughout the US and UK in support of their latest album,  So, Who’s Paranoid?,  which was released in the United States on December 12.

At this time, the band wishes to extend their apologies to their fans and look to reschedule shows soon.

Tickets for all US shows can be refunded at point of purchase.
